Thurlestone Sands
There are two main beaches at Thurlestone - the smaller is by the Golf club, whilst the larger a little further along the coast towards South Milton. Both have a fine, shingle sand and sheltered waters.
Access is mostly by single track lane for the last 2.5 miles so access is unforunately not good for the disabled.
Car Parking is excellent with numerous car parks which cost about £2-3 per day.
Thurlestone Sands is unspoily by lots of extra facilities, but South Milton does have the convenience of toilets, cafe/kiosk and watersports hire in season. Swimming is a delight on these beaches and there is a lifeguard in the summer season on South Milton Sands.
Dogs are permitted on these beaches.
